A.S.A. Harrison, born Susan Harrison, was a Canadian author and artist who achieved posthumous international fame for her gripping psychological thriller, The Silent Wife. Published in 2013, the novel became a massive New York Times bestseller and was celebrated by critics and readers alike for its chilling, methodical deconstruction of a deteriorating marriage.

Before her breakthrough in fiction, Harrison built a diverse and eclectic career in the arts. Based in Toronto, she was involved in performance art in the 1970s and collaborated on several non-fiction works, exploring topics ranging from typography to astrology.
