Adam Grant

Adam Grant is an American organizational psychologist, author, and professor who focuses on motivation, meaning, and living more generous and creative lives. He is the Saul P. Steinberg Professor of Management at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he has been recognized as the top-rated professor for seven consecutive years.

Grant grew up in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan, and earned his B.A. from Harvard University before completing his Ph.D. in organizational psychology at the University of Michigan. Before transitioning into academia, he worked as a professional magician and an advertising director, experiences that shaped his dynamic approach to communication and teaching.

As a leading public intellectual in the business world, Grant has authored several influential New York Times bestsellers. In 2013, he published Give and Take: A Revolutionary Approach to Success, which fundamentally changed how organizations view collaboration and generosity. He is also the author of Originals: How Non-Conformists Move the World and Think Again: The Power of Knowing What You Don’t Know. Furthermore, he hosts the popular TED podcast WorkLife, bringing his organizational insights to a global audience.
