Bruce Schneier
Bruce Schneier is an internationally renowned American computer security specialist, cryptographer, privacy expert, and author. Holding degrees from the University of Rochester and American University, Schneier is a fellow at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University and a board member of the Electronic Frontier Foundation.
Often called a ‘security guru,’ Schneier has designed cryptographic algorithms, authored foundational textbooks like Applied Cryptography, and provided expert commentary on cybersecurity, surveillance, and digital infrastructure to governments and media worldwide.
He has written over a dozen influential books, including Secrets and Lies, Data and Goliath, and Click Here to Kill Everybody. Schneier’s writings critically examine the intersection of technology, security, privacy, and society, warning against systemic digital vulnerabilities in a connected world.
