Luigi Zingales

Dr. Luigi Zingales is an Italian-American economist, academic, and author specializing in corporate governance, financial markets, and political economy. Holding a Ph.D. from MIT, he serves as the Robert C. McCormack Distinguished Service Professor of Entrepreneurship and Finance at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

He is best known as the co-author (with Raghuram Rajan) of the influential book Saving Capitalism from the Capitalists and the author of A Capitalism for the People. His research examines how to protect free markets from cronyism and corporate capture.

Zingales’s rigorous economic analysis and public policy advocacy have made him a leading voice in economic reform. His publications offer vital frameworks for equitable market systems.
