Where to Donate Books in Chile
The following requirements must be met in order to donate your English books:
Physical Condition of the Books to Donate
– Books you wish to donate must be in at least Good condition.
– The conditions under which we sell books at Bookflow are described on our Condición de los Libros page.
Discount Voucher for Book Donations
For every English book donated in Good, Very Good or Like New condition, you’ll receive:
– $500 CLP for each Paperback
– $1,000 CLP for each Hardcover
Example
If you donate 20 English books — 10 Paperbacks in Very Good condition and 10 Hardcovers in Good condition — you’ll receive a $15,000 CLP discount voucher (10 x $500 + 10 x $1,000) to use on your next purchase at the bookstore.
Important
– Bookflow staff will determine the condition of donated books upon receiving them.
– Donated books will be graded according to the conditions described on our Condición de los Libros page.
– Books donated in languages other than English do not count toward the discount voucher calculation.
Donating Books in Other Languages
– We accept donations of books in languages other than English when the books are in at least Good condition.
– The conditions under which we sell books in our store — Acceptable, Good, Very Good, Like New — are described on our Condición de los Libros page.
– Books donated in languages other than English do not count toward the discount voucher awarded for donating English books (see details in the previous section).

Books Not Accepted as a Donation
We accept donations of used English books of all kinds, with the following exceptions:
– Encyclopedias
– Magazines
– Kids Books meant to be completed or colored in, that already have more than 30% of their pages filled in or colored
– Textbooks and English Learning Books (Libros de Inglés) meant to be completed, that already have more than 30% of their pages filled in
– Old books with heavily darkened or yellowed pages
– Non-original editions, counterfeit or «pirated» copies
– Books in poor condition: torn books, books with missing pages, mold, bad odor, or food and drink residue
Free Home Pick-Up for Book Donations in Chile
– Home pick-up is evaluated based on the information entered in the form below.
– In the form, you’ll need to enter the commune (comuna) and region where the books will be picked up, so we can estimate the approximate pick-up cost.
– Once we receive your form, we’ll contact you to confirm whether we can accept your English book donation.
– If accepted, we’ll arrange a free home pick-up, coordinated through your preferred contact method selected at the end of the form.
Important
For the home pick-up to go ahead, the books to be donated must be packed in clean, sealed boxes, with a maximum weight of 10 kg each.
