Stanley I. Greenspan

Dr. Stanley I. Greenspan (1941–2010) was a pioneering American child psychiatrist, clinical professor at George Washington University, and author. He revolutionized developmental psychology for children with special needs.

He is best known as the creator of the DIR/Floortime model and author of foundational books including The Challenging Child and Building Healthy Minds.

Greenspan’s relationship-based developmental approaches transformed pediatric therapy worldwide, helping children with autism and developmental delays thrive. His legacy remains monumental.
